They're some of the most well-known recipes in my site cause they taste really sweet and cozy, exactly like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined flour or sugar!

That means you are going to start with whole wheat germ (or gluten-free, if you want ) and prompt oats (like these... or those for a gluten-free version!) . Instant oats are thinner and smaller than traditional rolled oats, and you may see them in canisters right next to those traditional oats in the grocery shop.

I probably seem like a broken record by now... But cause I ? you and want your cookies to turn out totally plump and soft, I'm reminding you again... Quantify your flour and oats correctly, applying this technique or even a kitchen scale! (? That's the one I own and love. It only cost $20!) A lot of either side is likely to make your biscuits taste cakey or sterile, as opposed to chewy. This is especially true of the oats--that they act like little sponges and soak up plenty of moisture from your cookie dough!

Ripe bananas- perfect for baking! Love all of @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthful banana recipes!

See these bananas? And all those brown spots? If it comes to baking bananas, brown = amazing! I ? additional speckly bananas cause they've a lot glowing, bold taste --and additional sweetness! That is the minimum quantity of brown which I recommend. More is even better!

The remaining portion of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in a different pure ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as this!) . You want the kind that comes directly from pine trees, which is usually offered in sparse glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Skip the pancake syrup and sugar!

The raisins add even more sweetness! The recently purchased, extra plump, perfectly soft ones are perfect... But for those site link who have older, somewhat dried out carbohydrates (hmm... it sounds absurd to describe dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that's fine!

Just add them to a microwave-safe bowl, and put water on top until they're fully covered. Seal plastic wrap over the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Yields: 15 biscuits

The familiar cozy spices and plump blueberries make them even more irresistible. They'll keep for a minumum of one week if kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator--if they last that long!

1 cup (100g) instant oats (gluten-free if necessary and measured like that )

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or gluten-free* flour (measured like this)

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter or olive oil, melted and cooled slightly

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup

1/4 cup (40g) raisins

In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, pasta, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add the flour mixture, stirring only until incorporated.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, along with a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

With a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 curved scoops on the prepared sheet, and flatten to the desired depth and width by means Two-Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Cookies - Ambitious Kitchen of a spatula. Bake at 325°F for 10-12 minutes.

Notes: It is extremely important to quantify both the oats and flour correctly utilizing this method or even a kitchen scale. (? That's the one I own and adore!) Too much of either could dry out the cookies and abandon them cakey rather than chewy.

Immediate oats are also known as quick-cooking or minute oats. They arrive in massive canisters, exactly like conservative oats. They're not those in the small flavored packets of oatmeal. To make your own, include the same quantity of conservative yogurt into a food processor, and pulse 10-12 times or until the oats are about 1/4 into ? of their original size.

For the gluten-free flour, I recommend the following blend: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, 2 tablespoons (15g) tapioca flour, 2 tablespoons (15g) brown rice , and 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum. Most store-bought gluten-free flour blends (like this one!) Will also work, if quantified like this.

For the best results, use the ripest and spottiest bananas you can find!

If your raisins are old, drier, and not so plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowl, and put water at the top till they're fully covered. Seal plastic wrap over the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you allow the raisins sit while mixing together the cookie dough, this little trick hydrates them so they're really tender and succulent!
